Wetland Ecologist

Remuneration: Attractive salary package (salary / pension / expenses / Range: €38,000 to €50,000 dependant on experience)

Wetland Surveys Ireland Limited is a professional ecological consultancy. We provide services to industry, local environmental groups, engineering firms, private developers, government departments and local authorities. A major part of our work is focused on wetland related projects centred around land-use and nature conservation. In response to recent growth in the sector, we are looking for an ecologist to join our team. The successful candidate will partake on wetland field surveys, monitoring, and reporting.

Office Administrator

Location: Wetland Surveys Ireland, Kenmare, Kerry

Salary: €16 to €20 per hour (depending on experience)

Hours: Half time. Monday - Friday

Wetland Surveys Ireland, a busy environmental consultancy company based in Kenmare, is seeking to employ an experienced Administrative Officer / Bookkeeper for a permanent part-time position.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • General office administration and answering telephone calls

  • General bookkeeping, invoicing, reconciliation of accounts

  • Oversee the administration of employee expenses, recording of leave etc.

  • Diary management

  • Managing software licences and accounts

  • Manage communications between clients and staff

  • Provide secretarial and PA assistance to the Managing Director

  • Developing and updating standard procedure documents

  • Provide administrative support to members of staff and project workers as required

  • Other ad hoc duties as necessary

  • Opportunities for progression and to expand the role to suit the applicants qualifications and experience

ACRES West Connacht Co-operation Projects

Wetland Surveys Ireland in partnership with The Pearl Mussel Project have been contracted by the Department of Agriculture, Food and Marine to operate two of the eight Co-operation Projects that are being established as part of Ireland’s CAP Strategic Plan.
