Wetland Walk at Acres Lake

Last week Poppy Overy from Wetland Surveys Ireland led a walk and gave talk at Acres Lake with Rebeccah Coogan the Biodiversity Officer of Leitrim County Council. The group took a short stroll along the floating board walk and greenway, and discussed the plant species and wetland habitats present, and the importance and loss of wetland areas. Everyone enjoyed the talk and in particular the kids!
